Its 775 cc parallel-twin engine produces 59 kW (80 PS) and is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a factory bi-directional quickshifter. The flexible engine provides smooth low-speed control for urban riding while delivering strong performance on expressways and winding mountain roads.
Electronic rider assistance includes three selectable riding modes, adjustable traction control, ride-by-wire throttle and ABS. A clear 5-inch TFT display and full LED lighting complete the modern equipment package.
This matte-black example is additionally equipped with protective engine covers, an upgraded windscreen, rear hugger, tail tidy and adjustable brake and clutch levers.
With an 810 mm seat height, approximately 205 kg wet weight and a 14-litre fuel tank, the GSX-8R is well suited to day trips and longer touring routes around Kanagawa, Hakone, Izu and the Fuji area.
